Re: TNX and I need a little coaching.

Good morning JIM N6VH. I followed your procedure ok thru to the statement "Upload selected QSO" At this point a page titled "Upload Confirmations" comes up with nothing on it????? My point is, I do not want to send all QSO"s to LOTW. Many calls would be repeats many times over. In VER 1 of Log4 I c...

Re: TNX and I need a little coaching.

Andy, As far as sending QSOs to LOTW, why not send all of your QSO's that haven't already been sent? Here's the way I do it. In QSL Manager, click on "LOTW" in the "Search confirmation box". Then click on "Select required" and click on "Upload selected QSO". and go from there. It is pretty quick, an...

Re: Bugs/differences ver 2.7 vs ver 1

About LOTW we can add more options. We made interfaces simpler, as we rely on the different user profiles for changes in LOTW (and other service) settings. That will not require using or remembering different parameters, but simply switch the user profile. Anyway this can be added Thanks for your s...

Re: Power Transfer

When you press the Log QSO button in WSJT-X, the box that pops up has a space to enter the Tx power. This figure can be retained if wanted. If you use JTAlert, this power level is sent to Log4OM, and does override the level entered as the default in Logv4OM. I haven't tested with logging directly fr...

Re: CQ Zone "0"

Please wait for next release where I feel sure we have overcome the zone issue Terry, I am glad to see this. In the Feature suggestions part of the forum, I have added my thoughts to dealing with the zone issue. As I said there, it might be too late for the next version, or they might already be in...

Zone Issues

There has been a great deal of discussion on these forums, as well as others, about the zone issues in Log4OM. I see there is a new version coming out that might solve these issues. Here are my suggestions for the way I think the zones should be handled. It might be too late for the next version, bu...

Re: "Call lookup accuracy"

Another exception is Canada. If I go to BC (for example) in Canada, I am required by law to sign N6VH/VE7. VE stations have the same requirement when they visit the US. This is based on a treaty between the US and Canada, and not likely to change any time soon.

Re: CQ Zone "0"

Herb, As I mentioned in the HamApps forum, if there are lookups being done in Log4OM, those lookups seem to overwrite the info that is sent from another source - WSJT-X / JTAlert, etc. If the info is not in the lookup source (QRZ, etc), Log4OM either enters a zone that exists in that country or a "0...

Re: CQ Zone "0"

Jim, I'm entering the callsign into the "DX Call" field on WSJTX, and then clicking the "Log QSO" button above on WSJTX. The WSJTX Log QSO window pops open and I hit OK. Guess I don't know how to log directly from JTAlert??? Herb WB8ASI Herb, If you don't have JTAlert setup to log to Log4OM, there ...

Re: CQ Zone "0"

Jim, I was hoping you would chime in, what an interesting idea. I did as you suggested and saw the same result you did. When logged from WSJT-X/JTAlert (without a look-up in JTAlert) the QSO is logged correctly as 8 4. When I just key WB2UBW in the UI I still get 8 5 just as I did before. That seem...
