Re: FTDX101 and Omnirig

No I have not notified anyone except posting here. I bought the radio the first week of November and had to send it back to Yaesu for a Factory Update. I just got the radio back yesterday. UPDATE, I just tried the FT-991 ini Omnirig file with my FTDX-101MP and it now works perfectly with LOg4OM. How...

Re: FTDX101 and Omnirig

I had been using the modified file, to be sure I re-downloaded. It does the same thing. I have a FTDX-101MP. Using Omnirig with the FTDX-101D Omnirig ini file dated 10-07-19. Both the CAT VFO readouts in LOG4OM work perfect, turn the dial and the readouts follow. Change bands and the VFO readouts fo...

Re: FTDX101 and Omnirig

There is a problem using the 991 file also. Using this ini file, the LOG4OM will not read the mode correctly from the radio unless you put the call in LOG4OM using the cluster. I found this out the hard way after I made 6 or 7 QSOes and they were not the mode I was using. Also LOg4OM locks the mode ...

Not a defect in LOG4OM - FT8 -Data - LOTW

Apparently there is a defect in LOG4OM that all FT8 operators should be aware of if they use LOTW.. The discussion is here: http://www.eham.net/ehamforum/smf/index.php/topic,115920.0.html It is easier to reference the link above, rather than explain it all over again. According to AA6YQ (DXLABs auth...

Re: 1000 Forum users

What is great is your LOG4OM. And this is the reason for all the forum users. LOG4OM is a very good logger, better than most of it's competition. It has features that tells me that you are a Ham that knows exactly what Hams and DXers need in a Logger.

Thanks

Re: Date does not Roll Over at 0000 UTC

Thanks for checking this out Doug. This LOG4OM feature almost cost me a wrong date on VP8STI. Fortunately I spotted the error before I uploaded my log to LOTW or Clublog.

Re: Date does not Roll Over at 0000 UTC

Keeping the cursor in the call field is not going to work as I do other clicking in Log4OM and frequently even leave Log4OM open and go to another program like HDSDR. In the heat of a pileup why do I have to remember to put the cursor back into the call box? You may disagree BUT the orange button sh...

Re: Date does not Roll Over at 0000 UTC

Where I got confused was I assumed hitting the orange button next the the start time would update both the Time and Date even with a call already in the call box. It does not, it only updates the time, not the date. Since I now know about this peculiarity I will pay special attention to the date whe...

Re: Date does not Roll Over at 0000 UTC

What SHOULD happen is when you hit the orange button by the right of the Start Time, the Time AND Date should be accurate. It is not if you allow LOG4OM to be open before 0000UTC. It will not advance the date on its own. To me this is a fatal flaw and should either be fixed or be announced in the ma...
