Re: Allow user configuration of callsign lookup timing
That seems to have done the trick. Thank you Terry and the rest of the team. It's going to make a big difference to our group.

Re: Allow user configuration of callsign lookup timing
I can confirm Larry's findings. When the flag is set, it does seem to do a new lookup everytime a button is pressed. This includes the rotator controls, the rig selector and seemingly all other buttons.
Nice catch Larry!

Re: Allow user configuration of callsign lookup timing
I've installed the beta, tested it in a VM with a simulated poor network connection and it's working as expected and should eliminate 90% of the "colorful" comments from the DXpedition crew while operating!
Thank you for your effort Terry, it's made a big difference to us!

Re: Allow user configuration of callsign lookup timing
If there is already a delay then the proposal made by Larry would seem to be a good solution. Make the delay a configurable option, set to the current delay time by default. Add an override that says "if lookup delay = 0 then don't do a lookup until the focus has left the callsign box" Thi...

Re: Allow user configuration of callsign lookup timing
Terry, is there currently a delay between user entry and lookup? What is the current criteria for when it decides to do a look up?

Re: Allow user configuration of callsign lookup timing
Thanks Terry. We did that but it didn't solve the lookup issue. This only seems to be a problem when using a slow internet connection (we were using a 4G connection on the edge of it's range). Having an option to disable the automatic QRZ.com lookup when entering a callsign until the focus in moved ...

Re: Allow user configuration of callsign lookup timing
Just bumping this back up to get some attention. Having this feature added would make Log4OM much more usable for low bandwidth internet connections.

Re: Allow user configuration of callsign lookup timing
Yes Larry. It's the 2nd most frustrating issue when using Log4OM on a poor internet connection and in a multi station/operator setup where several users are doing callsign lookups at the same time. I believe most users won't notice the issue unless they have a slow internet connection or a slow resp...

Re: Allow user configuration of callsign lookup timing
I would love to see this feature as well. We use Log4OM on 4 stations every year for a mini Dxpedition/Club Holiday where our main internet connection is via a 4G link and this is one of the biggest issues we face. We always manage to lose a few QSO's due to slow lookups which drives the operators a...
