Re: Select config at startup

I did a search of the forum and found this article. I am interested in doing this, but can't seem to get the syntax right. My shortcut has to following command line in the target: "C:\Program Files (x86)\IW3HMH\Log4OM\LogOMUI.exe" I have tried typing CONFIG=xxxxxxxxxx after LogOMUI.exe with a space,...

Re: Copying another field to the Notes field

Does the notes field ONLY contain SOTA References in all QSO'S? No, I have non-SOTA contacts where I might use the Notes field and sometimes with SOTA contacts I will use the Notes field. I had planned on selecting the ones that had an empty Notes field and put the Sota Name there. That would proba...

Copying another field to the Notes field

I was wondering if anyone has tried this. I am curious to see if it is possible to copy a SOTA summit name to the Notes field for multiple records. The information is there somewhere because when I enter the SOTA designator, the name pops up. I would like to do it by running an update query within t...

SWL

OK, I made an HF contact with someone and chatted for a while. A short wave listener heard the conversation and correctly noted the contact. He wants a QSL card which I will gladly send him. The question is, how do I log that in Log4OM? I didn't actually contact the SWL but I do want to record that ...

Re: 60 Meter Question

Manuel and others, I am attaching the XML file to this message. My file is called bandplan_dxcc291, but you will need to rename it to the appropriate DXCC region, which I believe in your case would be bandplan_dxcc272. Be sure to back up your original file so that you can restore it if something goe...

Re: 60 Meter Question

Finally, I found time to sit down and after a bit of programming, this problem is solved. I modified bandpland_r2 but it didn't seem to have an effect on the error messages. In looking at the files in that folder, I found bandplan_dxcc291 (the 291 refers to my dxcc region) and it seemed to have simi...

I am sure the governments are wise and know that radio waves act differently when they cross boundries ;).

Re: 60 Meter Question

I am going to have to play with that a bit. I opened the bandplan_r2 file and it did not have a 60 meter section. I added one but the problem is that the 60 meter band is unusual in that different modes don't occupy different parts of the band, but CW and Phone overlap near the same frequencies. Tha...

60 Meter Question

If I work a station on 60 meter SSB, the program has no problem. But if I work a station on 60 CW, it gives me an "Out of Band" error. The 60 meter CW frequencies are 1.5 kHz above the SSB frequencies. If I click "OK" on the warning box, it will take the entry, but I can't find a setting to make the...

Re: eQSL Upload and Download

OK, guys, now I am really impressed. I have done a few more SOTA activations and in Log4OM I checked the box to auto-upload my eQSLs. I was reluctant to do that in the past because I thought it would be an undue burden on my SOTA friends to have to deal with all those eQSLs. But just the opposite is...
