Re: Satellite denominations in the drop-down list and automatic update of freq and mode fields

Forgot to answer: [...] Are those modes used in some application? It's the sat mode? Yes, it's is the sat mode. However I think nobody bothers filling it as it is not requested by e.g. LoTW. Afterall TX and RX freqs define the satellite mode. However if needed I can create a new column with the sat ...

Re: Satellite denominations in the drop-down list and automatic update of freq and mode fields

Hi Daniele Please find a .txt file attached to this message. Since Log4OM doesn't have separate modes for tx/rx, I created the table (semicolon separated) as follows: Displayed name ADIF value Tx freq in kHz Rx freq in kHz Mode So, there is only one "Mode" field. Actually common satellites...

Re: Satellite denominations in the drop-down list and automatic update of freq and mode fields

There are already logging software which have this capability, such as Cloudlog, but I'd personally like to keep using log4om. Wow! £48.00 per year! I have referred this to Lele and no doubt he will contact you for advice should he need to Cloudlog is free and open source, you can install it on you...

Satellite denominations in the drop-down list and automatic update of freq and mode fields

Since v1 there have been some changes in the way satellite names are stored and unfortunately they didn’t go in the right direction. I'm using here below two satellites as examples: AO-7 and XW-2A. In v1 satellites were stored as AO-7|AMSAT-OSCAR 7 and XW-2A|CAS3-2A and showed in the drop-down list ...

Re: Additional Satellite Support

For satellites work it could be nice, when I select the "satellite_name", to have directly on "TX_Freq" and "RX_Freq" the frequencies for to this sat. I've been asking for that already a long time ago , and it was taken into account for version 2 (it was still under de...

LoTW upload overriding station location

Since TQSL version 2.5.2 it is possible to choose “Override Station Location with QTH Details from your Log” on the “Log Handling” preference page. This is a (big) improvement for a roving station (this is, working from multiple grid squares) in order to avoid to add a new station location in TQSL e...

MY_ANTENNA ADIF field

The ADIF Specification 3.1.0 defines the field MY_ANTENNA as "the logging station's antenna". Is there a particular reason why in Log4OM v2 the ADIF export creates the field APP_L4ONG_ANTENNA instead of the MY_ANTENNA given in the Specification?

Re: Satellite frequencies in manual mode

Just in case it helps - I have been logging satellites with Logbook of the World. I get error message on the satellite listing because LoTW needs the submitted satellite name to exactly match the LoTW satellite file name. It appears the satellite AO-91, for example, matches except for separators an...
