Log4OM at 115200 baud, OK?
I remember having problems running Log4OM connectivity at 15200 baud. It was on a 10 year old computer. Log4OM worked erratically at that speed. Yet Win4Icom would connect reliably at that speed. Is this a known problem, or was it something to do with old my computer/serial ports? Does Log4OM have a ...

Re: Cannot connect Log4Om to Win4Icom
Set up Com0Com when none of the other programs are running. Also be sure that the port names in Com0Com are changed to regular COM port names. And that the ports you select don't show up in red. That means that the port is already in use. Sometimes a port you used a long time ago is still in Windows ...

Re: 115200 baud for Win4Icom spectrum display
To answer my own question... Why Log4OM appears to not "like" running at 115200 baud doesn't matter in my case. The solution is to only run the "hard" connection (on a physical USB port) between Win4Icom and the radio at 115200. The "virtual radios" that use comport pairs created by com0com can run ...

115200 baud for Win4Icom spectrum display
Does Log4OM not "like" 115200 baud?
I've had had a stable setup for some time now, with JTDX connected as in the Log4OM manual, and FlDigi via the dual cable method. They both play nicely (separately, of course). But now I'm having one problem adding Win4Icom to the mix--the onscreen spectrum ...

Re: Any way to avoid “Run as Administrator?”
Yes, lately I have been running it without elevating to admin, and it usually works. At least, when only one other program is communicating with Log4OM, in my case, JTDX. My guess is that running as admin is a very effective catch-almost-all solution, so the Log4OM manual and support people ...

Any way to avoid “Run as Administrator?”
Is there a way to avoid having to “Run as Administrator” when I’m using Log4OM 2 with WSJT-X, JTDX, or FLdigi? Would using Win4Icom and perhaps Com0com as the rig control “traffic cop” help? I like having QSO data from the digital programs populate into Log4OM. But I fear the “run as administrator ...

Re: Tell Log4OM "don't upload DMR QSOs to QRZ, LOTW, etc."
Thanks, Terry. Would I do this in Settings/Program Configuration/Confirmations before operating DMR or D-star? It looks like I should set the "Sent" (and maybe also "Recieve) fields to Invalid (which also means Ignore?) for each service I use, and then set them back to the "default set" afterwards ...

Tell Log4OM "don't upload DMR QSOs to QRZ, LOTW, etc."
I like to log enjoyable contacts, especially international ones, even if they are on UHF-to-Internet digital voice. That way I have a record I can look up, including personal notes on the contact, just as I have with conversational HF QSOs. But this creates a problem. I've set up Log4OM to ...

Re: Backup
Hi, Terry. I believe I am using Log4OM's built-in backup system. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. See the attachment. My batch file is just a general PC-wide backup that copies new/changed data to an external drive.
If this is sufficient, great. I haven't been checking the "Database backup" box ...
