Re: Backup
Hi, Terry. I believe I am using Log4OM's built-in backup system. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. See the attachment. My batch file is just a general PC-wide backup that copies new/changed data to an external drive. If this is sufficient, great. I haven't been checking the "Database backup&qu...

Backup
I back up my PC data to a removable drive using a windows batch file. It uses Windows' RoboCopy utility to copy any new or changed data from select directories. My Documents is always backed up, and my database is in Log4OM folder under there. I also have Log4OM v.2 doing an automatic backup to Drop...

Re: Log4OM says LOTW validated, LOTW doesn't
Thanks, Terry. This was my oversight. The QSOs in question are “pending” on LOTW. Which means that while they are confirmed (=validated), but have not yet been applied to DXCC (translation: paid for and approved when you apply for the award, or a country total update). So they don’t show up in the L...

Log4OM says LOTW validated, LOTW doesn't
I've been going over my log to check for DX QSOs I still need confirmed. I've discovered 8 DX QSOs for new countries worked between 10/14/22 and 8/22/23 that have problems. Log4OM claims they are validated by LOTW. But when I go to the LOTW Web interface, they don't show up at all. Three QSOs are fr...

Re: LOTW doesn't upload when closing Log4OM
I think I figured this one out myself. It was difficult to find because "LOTW" and "upload" are common words that the forum's software refuses to search on. "External services" led to an answer, in this thread: https://forum.log4om.com/viewtopic.php?p=43065 The answer, ...

LOTW doesn't upload when closing Log4OM
I am trying out the automatic upload of QSOs. Automatic uploads to EQSL and QRZCOM work fine. However, LOTW does not. When I close Log4OM (v. 2.27.1.0), three messages appear: Uploading LOTW data (120 second timeout) Saving form status Closing down Log4OM application. And then it sits there forever....

WARN: Saved locator different from EQSL reported locator
Every EQSL confirmation that I download has this warning: Updating ES5RY|10/10/2022 3:46:30 AM|30m|FT8... WARN: Saved locator KO38 is different from EQSL reported locator KO38ji QSO updated My user preferences are show in the attached screen clip. Despite this, the message implies that Log4OM is not...

A VERY old QSO :-)
This is just plain weird.
Perhaps my QSO partner is very old. He helped Benjamin Franklin with his experiments flying kites in thunderstorms, and somehow managed to generate a spark signal that warped the space-time continuum. Yes. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it...

Re: JTDX/JTAlert double logging
Thanks, Terry. I think I figured out what happened. But it prompted me to do something I've been thinking about for some time. I uninstalled JTAlert and reconfigured Log4OM to work with JTDX "direct." Much simpler, fewer things to break with every other upgrade of any of three programs. No...
