2.9 and the "frozen screen" issue

I upgraded today to 2.9.0.0. The issue persists. When I bring up Task Manager and watch Log4OM, it isn't really "frozen" -- it is doing things as evidenced by CPU share, disk activity, etc. QSO's "fed" to Log4OM from WSJT-x are captured and properly logged. So the program truly is NOT frozen, it is ...

Re: 2.8.0.0 Freezes

If you are convinced that in your case its the UDP connections fouling things up, why not disable those connections and use ADIF imports from the external programs for a short time. This would give you a more relaxed operating period and also prove or disprove your theory which would also help us p...

Re: 2.8.0.0 Freezes

Fortunately I haven't experienced any freezes. Somebody mentioned Log4OM continues to work but the GUI is irresponsive. If the focus happens to be on another window, located outside of the visible screen, the solution is to open the system menu with ALT-space , then maximize the invisible window. H...

Backing down to earlier version - Any risk?

I am currently running version 2.8.0.0. It is a frustrating experience, as when I feed Log4OM via UDP from N1MM+, or from WSJT-X, the Log4OM user interface frequently freezes up. I am considering backing up versions to 2.6.1.0. Is there any risk that I will corrupt my log by that action? The alterna...

Re: 2.8.0.0 Freezes

Is this issue going anywhere?

The program, when fed with UDP, freezes so frequently as to be useless.

Re: 2.8.0.0 Freezes

Another way to describe this issue....

....it is as though another "hidden window" has seized focus.

Re: 2.8.0.0 Freezes

Regarding my last, and N1MM+...

I just completed a 1-hour long mini test on N1MM+.

The GUI froze about 15 minutes into the session, but the QSO's for the remaining 45 minutes were captured in the log.

Re: 2.8.0.0 Freezes

Terry, I am also having this same issue. Using Log4OM 2.8.0, WSJT-X 2.2.2, and Win 10PRO. The Log4OM GUI freezes (does not accept any input or mouse clicks), but it does NOT show the usual grey "Not Responding" title line. Also, the "input" window does not reflect the ongoing WSJT-X QSO. The freeze ...

Modulation type

On the Cluster tab there is a column labeled "Modulation Type".

It always shows "USB", regardless of "Emission Type" column content.

What's up with that?
