Re: WSJTX-JTALERT-LOG4OM SETUP (ONE MORE TIME, PLEASE)
My thanks to the response from JA9HWD. It was IMPRESSIVE but much to complex for me. However the graphic setup on his QRZ page seemed to solve the issue. But I have one more question: The setup in Connect #2 of the Log4OM on line docs, with the simple one step setup looks enticing. But the 3rd sketc...

Re: automated omnirig & Log4OM startup in admin mode
Thanks for the advice. I was finally able to get all to launch in normal mode.
Then I had problems with it not shutting down!
While all the config settings were correct, I just selected save again to them and it cleared up.
I wish my ability to SOLVE problems was as good as my ability to break things.

WSJTX-JTALERT-LOG4OM SETUP (ONE MORE TIME, PLEASE)
I'm 84, please forgive me. I cannot find my setup guide for this! I remember creating it, but cannot find it! The excellent info provided is WAY too complex, despite being complete. 50 years ago I could have followed it! I introduced my headache by updating JTALERT to the latest version. It wanted t...

Re: No shutdown -FIXED
I followed the note by K5IO about the confirmations and even tho they were showing the proper yes/no I went thru each and save it again and it closes down normally again.

No shutdown
I switched to non-administrator mode a while back and all was fine. But now it fails to shutdown. I can kill it with the icon on the taskbar, however. Another minor issue is a runtime error if I forget to start omnirig first. Easy to fix. I switched back to administrator mode and shutdown works agai...

Easy or automatic method of tracking DXCC needed
I know most DXers have their list memorized, but I'm 83 and it ain't happening. I periodically use N3FJP to make a paper list of the 150 or so I still need. And then forget where I put it. How about some tips on improving this. I'm only interested in WORKED & CONFIRMED and for ONLY 1 band. Inclu...

Re: WSJTX setup
Hole the phone! I need to re-read the docs first. Sorry.

WSJTX setup
Simple question. I thought WSJTX put the callsign selected in it, into Log4OM, showing its status immediately before logging. If so I have deleted the necessary line. Logging works great via JTalert. I have 1 UDP INBOUNDs (adif msg 2235 incoming JTalert) I tried adding one from wsjtx at 2237 but had...

Re: automated omnirig & Log4OM startup in admin mode
Sheltered life? https://www.qrz.com/db/W4GHV I was in Albuquerque in the 70's when it all started! Little kid in a T shirt named Bill was there. Personally I don't think any programs should be run in admin mode, but that is the recommended way for these two programs. I was just following instruction...
