Re: Import Format Excel or ADIF?

Hi Jose. You might try DF3CB's Fast Log Entry. I have found it useful to get a handwritten log into ADIF http://www.df3cb.com/fle/ G4LMW has a .xls to convert Excel to ADIF. I've had good luck with it too, but have come to prefer FLE. http://www.g4lmw.co.uk/links.asp Naturally a good backup of your ...

Re: PORTABLE OPERATION AND LOTW UPLOAD?

Hi, I am going on an RV trip and will operate from 3 or 4 locations. I want to upload the appropriate contacts to LOTW when I get home. It looks to me that after I created the different locations in TQSL all I would need to do is go to Settings, External Logs and change the Station ID to match the ...

Re: How is DXCC Award for Band indicated?

Hi Chuck Duane's trials remind of the struggle I faced some months ago. Your on the right track now. Just get a listing of your credits and go through each. It's a pain in the you know where, but once done it's easy going forward. By the way, do you have a LOTW account? If so download your credits f...

Re: Moving from DX4WIN on a FLEX-6500

Hi Duane - I share your pain. DX4WIN is a great program, but long in the tooth. When I made the switch, LOG4OM really impressed me with the shallow learning curve, modern features and great support here. I still "miss" DX4WIN and certain features (groups for example), but the active develo...

Re: Night Mode

This may not be exactly what you are looking for, but I've good luck with a bit of software called f.lux.

https://justgetflux.com/

I've used it on both mac and windows and find it helpful to adjust screen color at night and dimly lighted rooms

Re: QSO Deletion problem

Finally had a chance to come back this a few days ago. Installed 1.23 - no change, still no delete function in QSO manager. My shack computer is a Mac, I run Log4OM 1.23 in a Win7 virtual machine under Parallels - works flawlessly, except for this so I became suspicious. Tested a copy of my log on m...

QSO Deletion problem

In the QSO Archive, I have "enable removal" checked; however, when selecting a group of QSOs for deletion - nothing occurs with the delete key. Same result if I select and try to delete one or two QSOs or select and try to delete 50+ The program isn't hung nor is there any action on the pr...

Re: Questions after merging DXCC with LOTW

A lot will depend on how old your original DXCC records are. If you have any records on paper only, these will only be reflected in the ADIF you d/l from LOTW with partial information - in some cases, not even a callsign. Post computerization, but pre-LOTW will be better, but I still found discrepan...

Note v. Comment fields

What is the different between the note field and comment field?

Is one preferred for some types of information - say specific to the call sign or specific to the particular QSO?

Re: ADIF Import not setting profile information

There are various Excel utilities that combined with AdifMaster that can help with manipulating data from one format to another. Just make sure you are using a backed up file before modifing. Yes, David there are. I even managed with my limited skills to pull something together in Excel that will d...
