Re: Blank Solar Flux Info
Just installed the new version 2.19.0.0 and tested the solar data. All good now. I can throw away my work-around. Thanks for the fix, Daniele.

Re: Blank Solar Flux Info
Nolan, if I find some extra time this weekend, I'll try an older version and see what happens. As for the work-arounds, I agree that I would not expect the average "day-to-day" user to debug and workaround such an issue, but software systems development, integration, and testing are second...

Re: Blank Solar Flux Info
I may give that a try, Nolan. Conversely, if you are doing alpha testing on a machine that had previous versions of Log4OM2 on it, it's possible that remnants from the earlier version(s) may be masking the problem in the new version. A new development: I am now getting the Sunspots chart in the Sola...

Re: Blank Solar Flux Info
I also just discovered over my lunch break that if I manually download the DGD.txt file from NOAA at https://services.swpc.noaa.gov/text/daily-geomagnetic-indices.txt and the DSD.txt file from https://services.swpc.noaa.gov/text/daily-solar-indices.txt and place them into the "...App Data/Roami...

Re: Blank Solar Flux Info
I did a little more digging into the problem and found the following information in the Log4OM2 UI log that may help the developers to debug the issue. (I added the coloration to help point out the key summary information.) The results are consistent with what I am seeing. The predicted solar activi...

Re: Blank Solar Flux Info
Hmmm.... Then I'm at a loss for what's going on. I guess I will just have to live with it and hope that future changes will somehow correct it. I still like Log4OM2 better than any other logging program that I have used.
Thanks for your replies.

Re: Blank Solar Flux Info
I found in another thread where Terry wrote: Our solar data comes from NOAA at ftp://ftp.swpc.noaa.gov/pub/latest/DSD.txt and https://services.swpc.noaa.gov/json/sol ... cycle.json I connected to the NOAA ftp site ftp.swpc.noaa.gov with a separate FTP client only to find that the ftp server is onlin...

Re: Blank Solar Flux Info
Hi Terry, I just uninstalled and re-installed Log4OM2 V2.18.0.0 as administrator (and even downloaded a new copy to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with the download). I got the same results as before. Everything is working fine except for solar data. Still no solar data displayed in the chart...
