Re: FLDIGI
Hi Terry, well......must say I'm intrigued by this..... I've just been to the FLDIGI download site and doubly confirmed I have the latest release which (at time of posting this) shows 3.21.83. The online documentation clearly details use of the 'QSY' button (and the screen grab on the opening page o...

Re: FLDIGI
Terry, FYI, and others following this thread I've just looked at the FLDIGI Users manual (should have done so before my previous post), it confirms what I was saying..... <quote> The QSY button is very specific to rigs interfaced with either hamlib or the memory mapped i/o. Each rig has a sweet spot...

Re: FLDIGI
We are at cross purposes here Terry, I am referring to the rigs bandwidth, this is different to the "centre display on frequency" that you refer to. The 'centre display on frequency' is not the 'sweet spot'. The "centre display" (that button you pointed to) is to do with the wate...

Re: FLDIGI
Ah! you've got me there Terry..............just switched off the radios / software before doing something else. Yes, I am referring to the 'QSY' button and where it moves the signal to the centre of the passband. On my version of FLDIGI (believe its the latest) it does indeed have a button marked 'Q...

Re: Cannot select correct IOTA reference
Had to chip in on this one!
Stations on the mainland in Wales are ALL in EU005, its' only those on islands off the coast that can sometimes have IOTA references different to the mainland.

Worked Bands - Cluster spots
I may have missed a set-up parameter here, so apologies if that is the case, but my question is.... When clicking on an incoming spot the 'worked bands' box (the box that can be detached) is populated to show what bands/mode that country has been worked on. That's fine; however is it possible to hav...

Re: FLDIGI
Hello Terry, Thanks for confirming the setup you have there, most appreciated. This is a strange one. I've done the check on the waterfall parameters, but makes no difference. Also been back into FLDIGI and changed the 'sweet spot' to the same as yours, but still no difference - whenever XML-RPC is ...

FLDIGI
Hi, As a new user, I've just noticed that the 'QSY' button on FLDIGI is greyed out when it's using the XML-RPC link with LOG4OM. I use the QSY button on digital modes to centre the received signal in the middle of the receiver pass-band for optimum decoding, the so-called 'sweet spot'. This is VERY ...

Re: Importing large file
Well, for me, the performance is pretty good. The only thing I have to compare it with is DX4WIN, the initial load of my log is faster in DX4WIN, but once loaded searching out call signs (whilst doing some manual card handling this morning) is excellent. Slightly off topic, but positives for me with...

Re: SQL - Do I need it ?
Hi Terry,
Yes, agree with your sentiments - "if it ain't broke....."
I guess with SQL the database load / search may be faster ?, sure there's a few seconds, when for example this morning I needed to delete a couple of QSOs but I don't have an issue with that.
