Re: unable to open database

Well Terry, I found that Windows defender needed to be given permission to allow me to make changes to LOG4OM. I gave permission and the program started working. Thanks again for your help.

Re: unable to open database

Well I noticed that I was only opening SQLite files. When I selected All files(*.*), I see 20180809192155_WA1MAD.adi and 2 identical copies. When I select one of them. my green button in the lower right turns red. Now I am at a similar point as I was during my last problem. I am also getting an Unau...

Re: unable to open database

here is a jpeg screen shot vs png. I hope it is a small enough file to send. When I select the activations.SQLite, nothing seems to happen. I suspect there is supposed to be another file in this folder, like ADIF. I still get file too large. HMMMM>

Re: unable to open database

yes, I had a similar problem, but on another computer, and the dot on the lower right was red not green. By nothing, I mean that I select activations.SQLite, then open, the screen doesn't populate. I'm going to try to do a restore back to the last date that everything worked. Thanks Terry

Re: unable to open database

Thanks Terry. From the home LOG4OM screen the file dropdown, open database, shows 3 files, an Icom programming file, a Yaesu programming file and activations.SQLite from 9/17/2018 and nothing else. If I select activations SQLite and open it, I see nothing. Should I try and find a copy of the file an...

Re: unable to open database

Thanks Terry. I clicked F8 and my contacts showed up. I tried File/open using the path in the lower right corner. I have an ADI file and an activations.SQLite, dated 9/17/2018. I think that was the last QSO date that I used, actually it was 9/16 but not sure if it was computer date or GMT. . Not sur...

unable to open database

Hi, I tried restarting my computer twice and log4om twice but when I hit "Add" for a QSO I get "unable to open database file" "unable to open database file" twice. The green dot is on to the right of the C:\Users\Mike Ham Shack\Documents\activations.SQLite. This began h...

Re: Log to QRZ

Well I did an import of ADIF and my data base is now there. I think I'm all set now. Thanks for everything Terry. I'll save my notes for the future. WA1MAD

Re: Log to QRZ

Well, I selected new database under file and things now look normal and things are working. The only thing missing is my QSO history. The only one there is me, which I entered as a test. I assume that is the adi file. I'll attempt to get it in the correct place. Thanks

Re: Log to QRZ

Hi Terry, it must be bedtime for you. I found 2 files on the old machine 20180809192155_WA1MAD.adi and activations.SQLite. However, when I used the activations.SQLite, the lower right box now reads "DB UPGRADE REQUIRED" I this because I've gone from Win 7 to Win 10??? Getting close...I hop...
