Re: Add External UDP message for Transmit Frequency (For Palstar HF and 3rd Pary Apps)

First I would like to thank Terry who answered my questions quickly. Sorry that I missed some obvious things in the manual. The bottom line is that Log4OM and the Palstar HF App by W1TR will now work together. Go to the HF-Auto group.io site and and look for HFAUTO v3.9.9.9 Now Supports Log4OM.....p...

Re: Add External UDP message for Transmit Frequency (For Palstar HF and 3rd Pary Apps)

To Terry (G4POP)

WHAT is the name of the packet that it broadcasts (in the configuration panel for Log4OM) that has the TX frequency.

Thanks,
Ray Mikula

Add External UDP message for Transmit Frequency (For Palstar HF and 3rd Pary Apps)

I would like Log4OM ver2 to include a useful feature found in the N!MM+ logger. Specifically, the ability to have a UDP message containing the TX (transmit) frequency. This would allow 3rd party APPs such as antenna tuners, etc. to follow the transmit frequency and to make changes based on the TX fr...

How to highlight countries worked but not confirmed

At the moment, if a country is not worked I have it highlighted RED. If it is worked but not yet confirmed (LOTW) I still want it highlighted in some fashion as my initial contact may choose not to confirm so I want to keep working that country until a confirmation is made. The logic of how to do th...

Re: Contest DUPE issue

I went back and reloaded my contest file and did some testing related to DUPES. I discovered a third type, DUPLICATE BAND in addition to DUPE and DUPE EMISSION. The logic, based on limited testing seems to be ok. So, at this point my input would be please keep the DUP messages in the very large font...

Re: Contest DUPE issue

Terry, The dupes were all in SSB mode. I was only working SSB so don't know what would happen with other modes. There were four occurrences on 20m, two on 40m, one on 15m and one on 10m. So, the band didn't seem to be related to the DUPES. I'm still not clear as to what the message DUPE EMISSIONS sp...

Contest DUPE issue

I've used Log4om and Log4om2 in over 20 contests and have never had an issue with DUPES. In a recent contest I was very surprised to find myself with about 10 dupes. By dupe, I mean same call on same band and same mode. Something is wrong. I'm was using Log4om2 version 2.15.0.0 in Contest Mode. I do...

Re: Modify "Mode Lock" to prevent "band plan" from changing transceiver mode

Terry, I created some confusion in my posting. When I referred to "Mode Lock", I was referring to the "Mode with the lock symbol next to the mode drop down menu" this is in the upper left quadrant along with callsign, band, mode, country. I was not referring to the "Mode Loc...

Modify "Mode Lock" to prevent "band plan" from changing transceiver mode

During the recent 160m contest, about 20% of the time I noticed that my transceiver mode would change from LSB to USB when I doubled clicked a cluster spot. If I checked the "Mode Lock" box the mode would still change from LSB to USB. I suspect this is due to the logic in "band plan&q...

How does the Cluster display determine Emission Type and Modulation?

Specifically, what information does the Cluster display use to determine Emission Type, Modulation, and Spot Mode? If a person enters a spot using DXHeat for instance you are entering a Call and a Frequency. The Log4om cluster display for this spot will show an Emission Type and Modulation. How did ...
