Re: Win11 Backup Folder selection seems broken

Yes, many restarts, no help. 2.25.0.0 Can't install 2.26 for some reason. Won't run the install file even with all antivirus software turned off. Windows 11, of course....

Re: Win11 Backup Folder selection seems broken

Thanks, Terry, but no, I'm sending the backup to a Seagate 8 TB USB backup drive where I put all my backups. On my system, when I open the dialog box for where to place it, I am only presented with the "Desktop" folder - so I'm stuck putting it there or adding a folder "under" the desktop. I can't ...

Win11 Backup Folder selection seems broken

I'm moving to a Windows 11 computer, and setting up Log4OM has gone mostly OK. One problem I'm seeing is that when I try to select a backup folder for the log, the window presented shows the Desktop folder only and does not navigate anywhere from there. On the Win 10 machine it works as expected ...

Re: LOTW Upload failing

Duane,

... info deleted ...

Doing the test with TQSL first confirms that element is working or not. If it is working then double-down on the entries in Log4OM for LOTW / TQSL.

Thanks, Nolan - excellent suggestion. I had confirmed that the TQSL was working properly on the new PC and thought ...

LOTW Upload failing

First, let me say THANKS! to Terry and the others who support Log4OM. I don't need help often, but when I do they are a big help.

Now to the problem. I just moved my installations over to a new Windows 11 PC, and most things have moved well and are working well. I used the ARRL steps to move the ...

You have windows set to hide user files and folders - View/show hidden items

Thanks, Terry - you nailed it. I usually turn hidden files/folders off right away on a new PC, but hadn't gotten that far yet on this one. Done. Thanks. Now to decide whether to reinstall 2.18 or earlier ...

Moving from a Win10 to Win11 machine - how to copy?

I've found Terry's 2016 details on how to copy one's installation from one PC to another, however in WIndows 11 the path in the C:\users\...... directory does not exist. Is there an easy workaround, or do I need to completely reconfigure on the new machine (I surely hope not!) The database is no ...

Re: Flex 6600m connecting to LOG4OM

I’ve been running Omnirig 1.2 for a long time. Still no clue on this problem. I plan to try SliceMaster next and see what works. HamLib looks a bit more complex. Thanks for the suggestions.

Re: Flex 6600m connecting to LOG4OM

I’ve been chasing a problem for 2 months now that finally looks like an Omnirig issue - my 6600 connects ONE time after the SmartSDR software is installed and never again. I’ll give Hamlib a try, but the current setup has worked fine for a few years. Why did it start failing in the May/June 2022 ...

Re: Problem entering paper QSL's received

OK, thanks to a ham friend for the clue - once again, default settings have been changed. It bit me before on the LOTW exchange, and here, again, the "Sent" was set to "Requested". Who even looks at those (or uses them, for that matter?). Anyway, once that was reset to a nil entry, it started acting ...
