Re: Grid square read from previous contacts
This would be a nice improvement. This information, locator and other, is taken automatically from third sites (qrz.com), so I don't understand why your own log shouldn't be considered reliable. The fact of being /P or /MM doesn't change the situation. If you make a mistake in the locator, you would ...

Re: Satellite frequencies in manual mode
Here is the list of satellites supported by LoTW: https://lotw.arrl.org/lotw-help/frequently-asked-questions/#sats
And for what concerns satellites having multiple uplink and downlink frequencies, there is no big problem, as the information is introduced by satellite.txt file. The important thing ...

Re: Satellite frequencies in manual mode
Yes, I agree. Furthermore I don't know what we gain in having both the short and long version of the satellite name. In any case using "|" as a separator is the best choice. Thanks for your collaboration!IW3HMH wrote: 03 Jul 2018, 08:28 I'm working on, but space as separator is not a good choice, as this:

Re: Satellite frequencies in manual mode
Can you send me a modified file, using the same separator as it is now, with only a few of SAT in it?
i'll check what i can do
Here's a file with some of the active satellites. Each line follows the following pattern:
AmsatName|FullSatelliteName UplinkFreq UplinkMode DownlinkFreq DownlinkMode ...

Re: Satellite frequencies in manual mode
And yes, those frequencies are stable, they don't need update. Only in case of new satellites the file should be updated.IW3HMH wrote: 28 May 2018, 16:40I assume frequencies are "stable" for satellites, so auto updates are useless, but i don't have a potential source file with those data.

Re: Satellite frequencies in manual mode
Are those informations "structured" and available somewhere for download?
The frequencies are available on the AMSAT website:
https://www.amsat.org/fm-satellite-frequency-summary/
https://www.amsat.org/linear-satellite-frequency-summary/
They can be added manually in the text file. I guess it ...

Re: Satellite frequencies in manual mode
Just to clear out what I mentioned in the above message: satellite.txt contains a list of satellites, one per row. Next to the satellite name also uplink and downlink centre frequencies could be added, as well as mode. For example now you have:
AO-92|AMSAT-OSCAR-92
This row could include more ...
