Slow CAT control
I have a longstanding issue with slow CAT control.
When I click on a spot in the cluster window the rig QSY is very delayed, a matter of several seconds in most cases. If their is a change of mode involved, sometimes the mode is first changed, followed by another delay to QSY the frequency.

Re: Info pane clipped.
OK, I have found why the above happened.
In Control Panel > Display, I had it set for Medium 125%. Apparently in some (not all) parts of Log4OM this enlarges the object but not the container.
When I shift back to Normal 100%, the problem is solved, but I need telescopic glasses to see some ...

Info pane clipped.
The info pane (just to the right of the QSO entry box) is "clipped" at the bottom. The same is true for all tabs in that segment of the screen.
See below. Note the Band, Locator, and Frequency text boxes are missing the lower edge. Can't find a way to make that screen segment "taller".

Re: Slow QSY
Just another observation.
When QSY'ing from one mode to a spot in another mode, I have noticed sometimes the radio mode will change, then some time later (several seconds sometimes) the frequency will change.

Re: Slow QSY
Hans,
When you say this is not true of other programs 'Writelog' are they....
1. Connected to the same radio? YES
2. Using the same interface cable? YES
3. On the same computer? YES
4. Using the same settings for com port and baud rate etc? YES

Slow QSY
When clicking a spot on the Cluster(F9) screen it typically takes a number of seconds for the radio (ftDX5000) to react. I am linked to the radio via OMNIRIG at 38400bps
This is not true in other programs, such as WriteLog.

Re: RTTY?
OK, thanks for the answers. Soundcard AFSK doesn't appeal to me.
I use MMTTY with WriteLog for contesting and the marriage works well. Would love the same type of integration to L4O.
