I'm confused.
I made three FT8 QSOs yesterday, and uploaded them to LoTW. Then I realized that they weren't showing up as any type of mode in Log4OM. I then did some research and found out about all the changes I needed to do (I know stupid me). I didn't know I had to make any mods to files.
So ...

Re: New mode - FT8
4. Enter in that blank line the following FT8;FT8;FT8 Save the file and close it.
5. Now find the RSTMode.csv file (in same folder), make a copy of it and rename it RSTMode_user.csv. Open up this new file with Notepad or text editor, add to the 3rd line which begins with JT a "|FT" to the end ...

Re: Installed new version - no QSOs
Just installed the new version and again all my QSOs are gone. Is it a BIG deal - no, because I simply re-load my backup file. It'd be really super keen if it didn't do that.
But, inquiring minds still want to know - why does this happen to my setup?

Re: eQSL Image download issues
Yea I just tried a manual GetQSL and I got a file with the extension .jpg and it's encoded as .jpg.
I think they have a bug over there such as if you have never set the default file type, it sends out a .jpg file with a .png extension. The problem is that you wouldn't know or care because when you ...

Re: eQSL Image download issues
As you can see the file image is PNG.
Yep I see that, and that's the extensions of all the images I have in my log4OM database - except that they aren't really .png files they are encoded as .jpg's. So something is different between what you have done and what they are doing.
So I'll go back ...

Re: eQSL Image download issues
I understand what you're saying, but probably this report should be forwarded to eQSL, as we're downloading files from there.
I have now posted your response over there so the person that I was working with there can see it. I don't know what's going on. They say they tried it and got a .jpg as ...

Re: eQSL Image download issues
Sure. I've spent several hours of my own time on this, and if I didn't care about the program and/or helping make it the best it can be I wouldn't bother. If there is a reason that eQSL needs to know about I'd be happy to post it back over there.G4POP wrote:I am sure Daniele will comment on this in due course

Re: eQSL Image download issues
... did you consider chasing eQSL about this, perhaps they will change it!
I just got the answer from the eQSL team. Here's the thread I posted -

Re: eQSL Image download issues
it's something coming from eQSL, but that does not mean it's not wrong. If eQSL is sending it out with the wrong extension, I understand that, but the file is in objective fact a .jpg with a .png extension, which is not correct.
We don't dispute that but we are just downloading what eQSL provide ...

Re: eQSL Image download issues
This feature has been thoroughly tested by our Alpha and Beta test teams without issue, also no other user has so far reported it as an issue.
Well, there is a first time for everything.
You seem to have the wrong impression about our attitude, but I can assure you that if we receive a bug ...
