Re: Save mode

On the same theme, the drop down lists of Sent and Rcvd reports and modes can be edited, but when there is an update they revert to "standard" with endless unused clutter. Could these parameters be edited once and saved in an "ini" type of file? It spoils the program having too many choices when mos...

Re: LOTW column showing V under rcvd status on all QSOs

That fixed it Chuck, thanks.

No idea why it appeared to have changed, as I've been running Log4OM and LOTW for ages.

LOTW column showing V under rcvd status on all QSOs

I've just noticed that since March 20th, all my QSOs are showing "V" under rcvd status for LOTW. I'm an LOTW user, but not all my contacts are. In addition, recent QSOs where I haven't uploaded to LOTW, are also showing the V. I'm running Log4OM ver 1.28, having updated mine from 1.27 to 1.28 on 19t...

Re: Going portable with Log4om

It's not quite the same, but I use "HamLog", an iPhone app, when operating from an overseas QTH. We have both WiFi and 3G data available. The log on the phone has an ADIF export via email feature, so I just email myself the log on a daily basis for safe keeping. It is, of course, easy to import the ...

Re: Add hoc "nets"

Log4OM has a feature called NET CONTROL. You drag counterparts in the list, and they will be logged when you remove them from the list. That is OK when you are part of a regular net, however it's very awkward to use when in an ordinary QSO and another station calls in. The Winlog32 way of using a b...

Add hoc "nets"

When you are in QSO and someone else calls in, it would be nice to have a button to leave the end times incomplete until it's clicked again. Winlog32 (what's that?) has a net button that creates an add hoc net for such situations. It would be a useful addition to Log4OM.

LOTW correction upload

For those of us who use a radio that isn't connected to their computer, the frequency has to be manually entered and sometimes it's entered wrongly (or left on the previous frequency/band). If you upload a log entry to LOTW, then realise the frequency/band is wrong, the normal upload via QSL Managem...

Editing frequency, band stays the same

If I accidentally manually enter 70260 instead of 7026, the band is shown as 4m. However, if I then add the entry and later edit it by just changing the frequency to 7026 KHz, the band remains the same... If you don't normally display the band as part of the "Recent QSO" tab, the error will go unche...

Re: Input field editing and tab order

I hope ver 2 includes a means of customising the QSO info tab, it's a chore to have to click on "Club and Awards" to enter a FISTS number, "Extended info & QSL" to enter QTH, etc. Also being able to remove the world map would be useful too.

Re: how to stop Rapid Cluster info

A big problem with the cluster network is that you get spots heard by other stations... In a contest it can get really crazy and as you found it's hard work to see the wood for the trees. I run a separate SDR receiver with CW Skimmer, at least that way the spots are heard on my kit. You can combine ...
