Re: Can't get RIG2 to work
Not exactly Terry. I re-installed Log4OM and OmniRig (latest versions) as Administrator, but I also had to replace/install a lot of new Rig 'ini' files. I also realised that there was an issue with the IC7300 driver and an install of the latest version sorted out a missing port and USB error message...

Can't get RIG2 to work
Hi. I posted this on Facebook and it was suggested that I repeat it here: Our local club has 2 rigs - an Elecraft K3 and an Icom IC7300. We also have two separate laptop computers. One (old) laptop runs Windows XP and I know that Log4OM no longer supports that. The other laptop is fairly new and run...

Re: Fields in contest mode
Thanks Terry. The f4 tab using a hyphen seems to work OK for "normal" contest working and I'm almost certain that the PW contests accept the format in the ADIF file. Unfortunately QRZ.com, where I have LOG4OM set to send logs in real time, does not use that field for it's 'Grid' field, it ...

Re: Fields in contest mode
Thanks Terry. That answers the question re: the Locator/grid field for the other station. The particular contest in mind today is the PW 144MHz QRP Contest. The rules for correct Contest QSO exchange: RS(T) report, serial number starting 001, QTH locator. I believe this is the same for RSGB VHF NFD....

Re: Fields in contest mode
Hi Terry. I thought that the Locator field in LOG4OM was for my own locator? However, that field is not available in contest mode anyway and it can't be filled in before Contest Mode is invoked, because it isn't known until the QSO takes place. Particularly on VHF/UHF the locator is part of the exch...

Fields in contest mode
Hi.
Is there a way to enter a grid locator in Contest Mode, so that the other station's grid is recorded and sent to QSL.com in the grid field?

Alan. G4GNX

Re: Copying LOG4OM and database to another PC
Hi Terry.
I managed to setup a profile and import the database. Had a few false starts, probably due to old age, but it's now working on the new laptop.
I'll get to grips with the database sharing soon.

Re: Copying LOG4OM and database to another PC
Hi Terry.
No problem with any delay.
I will digest your reply and give it all a try, thanks.
I do run MySQL for a couple of other programs, so it may not be a problem using it for LOG4OM. I'll stick with SQLite for now and see how it goes.

Copying LOG4OM and database to another PC
I just bought a new laptop and Id like to be able to copy the current data from a previous PC onto the new one. Is there a quick and easy way to do this?
Also, is it possible to have LOG4OM installed on several different PCs and have the data tracking between them?
