JTDX/JTAlert double logging
I've had JTDX/JTAlert and Log4OM 2.18 working nicely together for some time. I just upgraded to the latest JTDX v.2.2.158. This requires a "clean install" and manual reconfiguration. I've somehow managed to end up with two Log4OM log entries for each QSO. Note that: 1. I do NOT have the Lo...

Re: Running in administrator mode
When a program that's running "as Administrator" spawns another program (such as TQSL), that latter program will also run as administrator. TQSL has an internal check and complains that you shouldn't be running it as administrator, presumably because there is some risk that a hacker could ...

Main UI world map: Choice of center?
The main UI world map is centered on Europe. How difficult would it be to give us the ability to center the map on the user's longitude or time zone? Or to have a choice of several "centers," such as EU, USA, and JA/Australia? I'm on the US west coast. So whenever I work the Pacific or Asi...

Log4OM freezes when switching from one digimode program to another
I use WSJT-x, JTDX and FlDigi. I run the appropriate version of JTAlert with WSJT-x and JTDX. I have a single configuration of Log4OM that is configured to connect to each program as shown in the manual. All programs are "Run as Administrator." All three programs digital mode programs work...

Re: LOTW will not upload
You may also need to change your county in Settings, Program configuration, Station Information. That's where your info is pulled from to populate each QSO record. I just found today that my county had been changed from what it should be to USA. Also check your CQ and ITU zones--my CQ zone was wrong...

LOTW issues: County and CQ Zone wrong since Log4OM 2 upgrade
I just "discovered" that there are errors in my log for the last 3 months. My County was set to USA instead of King. My CQ zone was set to 5 (East Coast US) rather than 3 (West Coast). I believe that the errors began when I upgraded from Log4OM v.1 to v.2. I fixed today's contacts, and the...

Batch files to run Log4OM and other digi programs
Below are two Windows batch files (aka CMD scripts) that I use to start Log4OM and my favorite digital radio programs. Each script starts out with a test to see if it is running as Administrator, by attempting to copy a "flag" file to the Log4OM program directory. If it can't, you're not r...

Re: CI-V to USB Cable for the IC-7300 fldigi solution
Thanks! I received the Valley Enterprises cable a couple of days ago, and it is working fine. I've merged my Log4OM fldigi configuration with the my standard config, all's well. The cable has red and green LEDs that show activity, which is either useful or annoying, depending on your point of view. ...

Re: CI-V to USB Cable for the IC-7300 fldigi solution
Thanks, Terry. I’ve ordered the Valley Enterprises cable from Amazon, ETA next week. If it doesn’t work, I can easily return it, and order from the UK vendor you mentioned.

CI-V to USB Cable for the IC-7300 fldigi solution
I'm looking for a CI-V to USB cable (sold in the USA) for the "Icom IC7300 CAT control for multiple data programs" solution. Any recommendations? I found a $26 cable on Amazon made by Valley Enterprises, which claims to have a genuine FTDI chip. Is this suitable? I recall that counterfeit ...
