Re: Synchronisisng multiple locations
It's a nice proposal, similar to another logbook i know, but won't fit the minimum size requirements of Log4om (actually 880x590). Having a bigger size will make Log4OM not available on some ultramobile PC used in open air activity. Also the reduced center area will give me less space for cluster a...

Re: Manual time checkbox
I fit was me programming it, I would put one check box in Settings to allow user to choose one behavior or another, but that is me. Here, you are the boss and I will not upset you any more by suggesting improvements.

Re: Starting Cluster in background
K7PT you got it all wrong. It is not about slow connection or cluster or maybe me being poor so i do not have 5 GHz eight core processor and eight gigs of RAM or anything like that. You do not solve problem with application by avoiding it. I could understand such animosity if this is some hard work ...

Re: Synchronisisng multiple locations
It seems that you have customised it to fit your personal requirements! It seems that you tend to be rude when anyone says something that do not fit your personal requirements. No, G4POP, as I said earlier, user interface is my specialty, so I made some suggestions how it can be improved in Log4OM ...

Manual time checkbox
When I check 'Manual time' and 'Use real end time' it works fine.
But, when I exit Log4Om and open it again, state of these checkboxes is reset. It should save state of these checkboxes.

Re: Synchronisisng multiple locations
Here is an example how main screen could be rearanged to provide more flexibility. http://www.dodaj.rs/t/1M/11u/1U4v3WOt/main-screen.jpg More toolbars are introduced for various purposes: 1: for various general options like making backup, 2: for callsign, operator and location selection. Log fields ...

Re: Synchronisisng multiple locations
For a quick solution, it may be fine to put thet on the same level where tollbar is (just below main menu). It may be another toolbar. For better solution, it may need more work, more suitable for ne evolution of Log4Om you just announced. Goal would be to show all fields in a manner that is easy to...

Re: Starting Cluster in background
Yes I have. That is what I said: it pops up, waits until it is connected and then closes. But it takes some time.
If it is run minimized and in background it will not be in a way.

Usability priciples urge developers to create applications that are easy to use and most important factors are relazing on users previous knowledge and habbits. Thus, following user interface standards proposed by operating system is right way to go. Al...

Re: Starting Cluster in background
I do that but it still pops in front, waits until connected to cluster server and then minimizes.
When you run external application programatically there is an option to run it minimized. That way it would not show up at all.
