Re: 60 meter band not logging properly

By the way, forgot so say it. After you have saved the new bandpan_dxcc291_user.xml did you have restarted the software ? That´s a must have or it don´t works for the moment. Juergen, Yes, Log4OM was restarted. In fact, I ended Log4OM before making the file name changes. I then restarted Log4OM.

Re: 60 meter band not logging properly

Save it as bandplan_dxcc291_user.xml If you do so Log4OM will only use this bandplan for you and it wouldn´t be overwritten if bandplan updates are installed in future versions. ;) ;) Juergen, Thank you for the tip, that was how it worked in V1 too. However, I just tried this and if I only have ban...

Re: Country file- KG4x and KG4XXX not Gitmo

Juergen / Jim, I've observed some problems similar to Jim's with KG4 calls and thought it better to use this topic instead of creating a new one. A few nights ago I worked KG4UXR and was surprised to see the world map indicated the center of the country when the Google map properly showed the statio...

Re: 60 meter band not logging properly

Be sure to save your original file for backup ... just in case. Better to save it as a user file then it wont get overwritten Terry, I like that idea. How would I do that, rename the file to bandplan_dxcc291_user.xml ? I think that's how it worked in V1 when you edited files using the provided tool.

Re: 60 meter band not logging properly

Hey gang, I've figured this out. I'm sure Daniele has too but if you can't wait for the update in a new release, here's what I've done. The issue is in the bandplan xml document. I'm in the US so the document that affects my bandplan is Users\<probably your name>\AppData\Roaming\Log4OM2\bandplan\ban...

Invalid gridsquare in main UI

Please forgive me if this has been reported. I'm one of the unfortunates who cannot search the forum. If you key in a call on the main UI and pause while typing, Log4OM will complete a lookup (if what was keyed in is a valid call) and fill in the appropriate information. If you then continue typing ...

Two UI suggestions

How about eliminating the V2 Program Close Confirmation or at least make it optional? I've not selected Cancel one time in three years of V1 usage. Even if V2 is inadvertently shut down, it only takes a mouse click and few moments to start it up again. Another suggestion involves the Program Configu...

Re: ADIF Import Descrepancy

4. If the country correction is checked every incoming ask is checked to ensure the country is correct. As your incoming qso's came from our version 1 the countries are almost certainly already correct so no need to slow things Down udoing unnessesary checks Terry, When I imported from V1 I did sel...

Re: Changing User Preferences

If you have multiple profiles, you can select them, edit and save with SAVE button. This will save the profiles without doing anything else. Then you can exit without "restarting" your main profile (or changing it) SAVE AND EXIT will save the current profile and reapply main profile chang...

Changing User Preferences

While updating Preferred Modes in User Preferences I've run across what may be a program problem. I've discovered if I either add or remove a mode(s) and then click on Save Config followed by Exit, the change is not reflected in the main screen. If I then go back into User Preferences, I see my chan...
