Few other ideas
My last post with few items not connected to each other: 1. I've enable "Contact Reference" column in recent QSOs. It's useful eg. to cross-check if a SOTA or WWFF QSO were logged properly. This is how it looks like now: https://i.imgur.com/qmek5uc.png Would be great if we could hide selec...

QSL printing suggestions
My another topic is paper QSL printing - partly a copy-paste from my suggestions to v1 written in 2019. Most of them still stand! 1. Label sorting. I use label print feature for hand-writing my cards. Easy and simple to copy it from PDF. Labels or hand-written, I'd like (and my local QSL manager) my...

Few ideas about cluster handling
Hi, I've just found some more time so I could safely transit to v2. I expected this to take a few days. Stupid me. It's just up, configured and running within an hour. I like the refreshed look and improved performance. I'd also like to share some future development ideas from me. Some of them origi...

Re: cluster is slow
If we extract "core callsign", prefix and suffix then copy them to separate columns in the DB, this would allow to return to indexed search. Of course, this is not what they teach you on "how to manage relational database".

Re: cluster is slow
I've run this query through "EXPLAIN QUERY PLAN" and it appears SQLite is ignoring indexes for it - thus making full, slow db scan. The problem lays in the LIKE '%CALL%' part - SQLite will not use indexes for such LIKE queries. No easy solution for Log4OM, as we probably need those double ...

Re: KH1/KH7Z shows as Hawaii
/LH is a recognised prefix and sometimes suffix for Norway, using it for Lighthouse is not internationally recognised. Actually only prefixes allowed in Norway for CEPT-complaint visitors are LA/ or JW/ , see https://eng.nkom.no/leisure/radio-amateurs/radio-amateurs/information-for-visitors-to-norw...

Re: KH1/KH7Z shows as Hawaii
With Lighthouse event running this weekend, there are plenty of station suffixed "/LH", so Log4OM puts them all in Norway... Could you please disable this "feature"? In my opinion, no software should not promote bad manners (ie. putting country in suffix, not prefix). Many will l...

thoughts on QSL cards printing/writing
Hello, As I promised to Daniele, here are my few thoughts about the present paper QSL card handling features. I don't know how it's going to look like in V2, but maybe these ideas will be useful anyway. 1. First of all, I'd suggest to remove "QSL assistant" and make it a part of "Labe...

sorting by date / time
Hi, I'm just exploring the Log4OM while trying to find the best logging software for myself. After I've imported an ADIF into Log4OM, I've browsed the "Recent QSO" list. It is nicely sorted by QSO time by default. If, however, one clicks "QSO start time" to re-sort the QSOs by ti...
