Log4om / N1MM+ using UDP

Post by G4NVB »

Hi,

As anyone set up Log4om to work with N1MM+ using UDP?
Any guidance would be most appreciated.

What is the advantage of a real-time connection? I'm doing it the easy way:
- run the contest using N1MM+
- export contest log to ADIF
- import ADIF to Log4OM with the "update countries in ADIF" option
- in Log4OM, upload contest QSOs to LOTW

There are a few issues with Importing N1MM+ ADIF Files so I thought it might be useful to try UDP.

I use the broadcast function of N1MM to log my contest contacts in real time. It works great.

In the Configuration menu of L4OM go to Software integration>Connections. Build a UDP INBOUND script that says [UDP_INBOUND] [N1MM_MESSAGE] [12060} N1MM Hit the green plus sign to write it to the UDP Inbound connections box.

In N1MM Configurer>broadcast data on the left side enable Contacts.

That's it. Also, when using N1MM I never enable CAT control in L4OM, as it needs the COM port for radio control, but the qso's roll in.

Did you realise

1. This is the version 1 forum, not v2

2. The posts are nearly 5 years old?
