Log40m and Digipan

Hi All
I am using a Yaesu FT450AT connected to my pc via a USB to serial cable and was using Log40m successfully to control the rig. I have now been trying to set up Digipan to learn PSK. I have purchased a cable/interface to connect to my rig (Radio Arena), 2 x 3.5mm jacks headphone and microphone & USB to PC and six pin to the data input on the rig.
I am struggling to get legible text from Digipan but have now also lost the ability to control my rig from Log40m I know that the data cable will not allow control of the rig and have left the original cat cable in place.

Is it possible to use Digipan via the data cable and also control the rig using the cat cable or do I have to disconnect one of the cables for the other to perform?
And how do I get Log4M back up and running?
Thanks for any help and suggestions
Regards Colin

Why not use FLDigi with which we integrate?

Are you using Omnirg or Hamlib for CAT?

Hi Terry
Thanks for the quick response, basically lack of knowledge on my part did not realise Integration was available with Fldigi.
I went for Digipan because it was simple?
I am using omnig.
I can use FLDigi if that makes things easier can you give me a few pointers?
Cheers

Thanks Terry
Just looking a few YouTube tutorials.
I will look to download it over the weekend.
Will I still need both the Cat Control and Digital interface cables?
I will let you know how far I get by e-mail
