Option to select profile on application start

Post by yt9tp »

It seems most of the time I run Log4OM it is set to other profile than one I need )i change them frequently). That means almost each time I have to run program, change profile, exit and run it again to activate profile.

It could help if Log4Om offers user to choose profile at program start.

AT least it could be set that when user sets new active profile, application automatically restarts.

As it is now, user sets active profile, exits and stays in current (old) profile is very confusing.

Isn't the profile an ideal candidate for the first Log4OM command-line parameter?
Create a shortcut per profile and launch Log4OM with the profile you need!

You cannot run two instances of Log4OM so command line parameters won't work if you already have it running, which is the most frequent case.

1.25 has a new exe start parameter "CONFIG=<ConfigurationId>" (without brackets).
Config ID will be available in settings page (first page), unique for each configuration.
