Award help after Switch Logger32 to Log4OM

Post by ON7CL »

Hello FM,

In logger 32 I have all time countries 332 worked and 329 confirmed.

In Log4Om I have countries worked 330 and confirmed (purple) only 50.
In Log4Om I have 276 countries verified.

In Attachment you see my wac mixed, all Verified, none confirmed ?? in Logger32 all was confirmed ?

What I'm I doing wrong or do I miss something ?

This has come up before and if you do a search of this forum you will find reference in another thread here:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1233&p=7299&hilit=Logger32#p7299

However the problem is with how Logger32 exports the ADIF data as follows.

The problem is that the Award Credit status in Logger 32 is only recorded in an application field (One specific to Logger 32) not in the latest ADIF 3.04 format which has unique fields for the credit status

The Logger 32 field is shown like this:

<APP_LOGGER32_CREDIT_GRANTED:15>QSL_DXCCMIXED (APP_LOGGER32 identifies the data field as being specific to the Application Logger 32)

Whereas ADIF 3.04 is like this

<AWARD_GRANTED:64>DXCC_MIXED,DXCC_CHALLENGE,FISTS_CENTURY_BASIC,FISTS_CENTURY_SILVER,FISTS_SPECTRUM_100-160m

I pointed you to the other thread to illustrate the reason i.e. Logger32 ADIF export does not conform to standard ADIF protocol therefore data imported from Logger 32 will not reflect the correct results unless you update the data either prior to import or within Log4OM

To update the statistics in Log4OM use either the provided action button at the bottom or better still use the QSO Archive Manager to bulk edit your data.

Use of the statistics and the QSO Archive manager is described in the user guide and by our YouTube videos

Hi Terry,

Thanks for reply, but I'm not smart enough to make these changes. I'm not so computer specialist.

I will install Logger32 again and will swich when I ever find out.

My response to the email from Rudi!
Hi Rudi,
The ADIF file that you sent me does not contain any award or QSL/LOTW status fields, see below:

<BAND:3>20M <CALL:5>8Q7IO <COMMENT:26>QSL_S Date = 19981130 <CONT:2>AS <CQZ:2>22 <DXCC:3>159 <FREQ:9>14.000000 <IOTA:6>AS-013 <ITUZ:2>41 <MODE:3>SSB <OPERATOR:5>ON7CL <PFX:3>8Q7 <QSL_RCVD:1>Y <QSL_SENT:1>Y <QSL_VIA:4>None <QSO_DATE:8:D>19981102 <TIME_ON:6>180600 <RST_RCVD:2>59 <RST_SENT:2>59 <SRX:1>0 <STX:1>0 <TIME_OFF:6>000000 <TX_PWR:1>5 <APP_LOGGER32_QSO_NUMBER:4>3194 <COUNTRY:8>Maldives <APP_LOGGER32_LAT:6>3.6300 <APP_LOGGER32_LNG:8>-73.2500 <EOR>

Possibly in Logger 32 there is a choice of fields to export in an ADIF file? but without a reference to the QSO's that have been validated I cant do anything

Hi Terry,

Tnx for the info, I will download the award from LOTW, etc.

Statistics seems so be the same as in Logger32 ;)

Tnx for your time.
