South Australia National Parks Award

Post by VK5PL »

VK5 has a National/Conservation Parks Award for working the National & Conservation Parks in South Australia.
I was looking at the manual on how to enter these as an award but was a bit confused by the references etc.
There are no codes for the parks, only their names are used & was wondering on how to enter them.
NPs are worth 2 points & CPs 1 point & of course only limited to VK5.

Just enter the name in the first column and check the box for Australia in the Award Program window.

Thanks Chuck, I have managed to create the award with a few parks for testing.
I must now try to import references as there are just over 280 parks.
Can I import into what I have created or is it better to delete that & import as new?
I tried doing this, but am confused. I have a spreadsheet with the parks in with the scores etc.
Do I import this?
I tried ti import & get the message, Massive Import completed but when I save there are still no references in this award.

Since creating this award on my system, I updated to a newer version & the award I created has disappeared.
Has it gone forever and do I have to recreate it or is it hiding somewhere?

Hi David,
We changed the way awards we're saved so that we could add an auto update procedure for the default awards.

Unfortunately this change meant that any user defined awards that had not been sent to us for inclusion in the default set were lost and had to be recreated by the user.

However if the user recreates the award using the same parameter any QSO's previously marked for the award will still be recognised and the rewritten award will not be lost during future updates.

This could be an issue...
New installer will NOT remove or replace the file if was already in place.

Please make a copy of your "activations.sqlite" file in settings before uninstall 1.18.0 and install new upcoming 1.19.0

What do you need to add this South Australia National Parks award so everyone has it on the system?

When you have created the award send the resulting XML file to us and it will be added to the default award set

I had had to reinstall the program due to a computer crash & was trying to add this SANPCPA award back in.
I imported the csv file & in the awards manager, all the references are there.
If I add a QSO & go to the awards section, I select the SANPCPA but no references appear in the drop down box.
Any advice on what I need to do to get this to appear?
Regards
