I have a FTDX101MP and the exact same condition described in this topic exists with LOG4OM V2 and omnirig and my radio. The Split indicator stays on in LOG4OM when the radio is NOT in split.

MY Omni rig FTDX101 .ini file reads as follows for Status5:

[STATUS5]
Command=(FR;FT;)
ReplyLength=8
;ReplyEnd=(;)
Validate=(FR.;FT.;)
Flag1=(..0.....)|pmVfoA
Flag2=(..3.....)|pmVfoB
Flag3=(..0...0.)|pmVfoAA
Flag4=(..0...1.)|pmVfoAB
Flag5=(..3...0.)|pmVfoBA
Flag6=(..3...1.)|pmVfoBB
Flag7=(..0...1.)|pmSplitOn
Flag8=(..0...0.)|pmSplitOff

I am not a programming Guru, what should be changed in the above to get rid of the Split indicator in the LOG40M Cat display???

Same problems exists for me ever since v2 came out. FT-950. Log4OM insists the radio is in Split operation, the radio is not. Pressing Split onthe radio has ZERO effect on Log4OM.

I've reported it ever since I installed v2 and it still is not fixed.

Log4OM v1 works perfectly. As does every one bit of ham radio software I have using Omnirig. So the problem is clearly not Omnirig ini files.

FTDX101: What .ini rig file are you using? The FTDX101D ???

FT-950: Same question. What .ini rig file are you using? FT-950.ini ?

FT-950

There is an error being generated in the FT-950.ini file. I don't know how this affects the Split function, but you can try this correction to see if it has any effect. Remove the "UD" from the Value=4|5|vfTextUD|1|0 line in the [pmRitOffset] section. That at least will correct the error being generated

;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
; set frequency
;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[pmFreqA]
Command=(FA........;)
Value=2|8|vfText|1|0
ReplyLength=0

[pmFreqB]
Command=(FB........;)
Value=2|8|vfText|1|0
ReplyLength=0

[pmFreq]
;not supported

[pmRitOffset]
Command=(RC;R.....;)
Value=4|5|vfTextUD|1|0
ReplyLength=0

Yes I have the latest FTDX101D.ini file dated 1-31-2020 from the Omnirig website.

Yes I agree, LOG4OM V1 did not have this problem with my FTDX101, only V2 which leads me to believe it is a LOG4OM V2 issue. I also note the RX and TX lights on the CAT display either do not work or are incorrect. If I put the radio on VFO2 Xmit, the Cat display just shows TX on VFO1. Same with RX indicators, don't work properly and follow radio.

Initially I thought that V1 operated just fine, but that was not the case at all. V1, for me, suffered the same problems with SPLIT that V2 had. It is just that the graphics on V2 are so much more explicit than V1 as regards the CAT business.

You might want to do a careful comparison. I was surprised, but then I have a different radio than either of you.

BTW both the FTDX101d.ini and the FT-950.ini (slightly modified) pass the OmniRig Verification software check. Both those radio's CAT commands report the SPLIT status as a combination of two commands. I don't know what else to check on the OmniRig side. Both .ini's appear to be operating as OmniRig expects.

I expect it will probably not get fixed which is not a big problem, I just ignore the indicators on the CAT Display. It is interesting that N1MM+ software which I use for contesting gets the split indicator correct altho I do not believe N1MM+ uses Omnirig....

The same happens with the FT991A which I tested today.
It works perfectly with the Yaesu FTdx3000 and the Kenwood TS-590S.
