cluster + or - 600 Hz

Post by IZ4JUK »

Hi all,

since I installed the latst version of log4om (2.3.0.0), I'm facing a problem.

When I click on a spot on the cluster, the VFO goes on the correct frequency ONLY when I don't change mode.

When a spot is on a different mode compared to the current one, it moves, but applying a shift depending on the mode.

first example:

I'm on CW 3.553.0 Mhz
I see a spot on USB 3.640.0
I double click on this spot
The VFO goes on 3.640.6 mhz (+ 600 Hz!)

second example:
If I am on 3.640.0 mhz USB
I see a spot on CW 3.553.5 Mhz
I double click on it
the VFO goes on 3.552.400 Mhz (-600 Hz!)

I looked on the FAQ, but I didn't fine anything about that.
I'm pretty sure it's a kind of setting.
Like a shift!
Anybdy can help me in solving it please?
It's really unconfortable to adjust it manually each time.

thanks in advance for your help

Giuseppe,

Couple questions to help gather more data to better give us more clues to help you out.

What is your computer O/S?
Are you using OmniRig (original V1.19) or HamLib?
What rig are you using?
Any other programs you also have running in parallel with Log4OM V2?

Hi Nolan
Thanks for your quick reply.

I'm using windows 10 64bit
I'm using omnirig version 1.18
My rig is an Anan 100D Apache Labs, therefore a software in parallel to manage my rig wich is OpenHPSDR (last version with Thetis)

Please note that I used log4om (V1) for many years with satisfaction without facing this issue.

Now I have this problem ince I installed the V2.
Any advise?

talking on the Apache Labs forum, they told me the cause should be that before it sends the frequency, and the the mode.
On the previous version (V1) of Log4om, on the CAT settings there was a checkbox that says "Send Freq before Mode".
In this new version of Log4OM, I can't find it. Below a screenshot of it:

Can somebody let me know where I can find it please?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Joe,

The options you are asking about will be on the Configuration / CAT panel in the next release. We've been testing for a bit now and are getting very close to releasing the update.
