Restore and JSON file

Post by KD0ZV »

Not sure how much the JSON file should include but I did a format and reinstall yesterday.

Worked really well but had a couple quirks. LOTW upload would not work because the restore left the station location blank and also the cluster lost all its formatting for what columns are shown and their location.

Have not ran across anything else yet.

This also applies to the recent QSO log.

None of the formatting (columns) come back with restore either.

And just noticed all my user defined clusters are gone. So they are not being backed up/saved either.

Rich,

Thanks for this test. I've passed your results on to Daniele and the group.

So is there any other way to manually backup these settings?

I have some new hardware out today. Enough that I think I will be forced into a windows reinstall. There is a ton of work setting up all the tables in Log4OM and if I could save those somehow it would be great.

Save a copy of your user folder c:\.......\roaming\Log4OMNG\user

Save the backup files

That should do it

Good info. I always do that so will just copy that folder back over.
