Terry
May I include myself in this thread ?
I am using labels that are 70mm wide, 35mm high, page A4, 3 columns, 8 rows, top margin 5mm, bottom margin 5mm, no space between labels (neither vertically nor horizontally) = they are contiguous.
My printer is a Brother MFC-8380N (laser, black ink only)
No need to reply so quickly, this is Christmas Eve ! You deserve many big presents from Santa Klaus (he has received the Covid vaccine...)

Re: Label printing issue
Is the stationery Avery or some other brand and does it have a reference number?F6EXV wrote: ↑24 Dec 2020, 16:34 Terry

Also what about left and right margin sizes?
Perhaps a graphic to illustrate what is going wrong? Difficult for me to understand from these posts

Re: Label printing issue
I dont think I can solve your issues without a sample of the label stationery
Is it possible for you to trace around each label with a ball pen and then scan and post it here as a pdf file? that way I can compare the resulting print out against your stationery.
Also post your attempts at producing label templates on this forum
Please also confirm that you BOTH have the same issue where the test print is OK but a live actual label print from your logbook does not match the test print?

Re: Label printing issue
Terry
I have given full info on how labels are on the label page.
So my label width is 70mm.
BUT the second label (going to the right) is not 70mm apart, but a little less, the third one is again a little less. So it actually start printing on the second one.
My label height is 35mm.
Gpoind downwards, the second row will be slightly less then 35mm from the 2nd one, and so on, so the top line gets closer and closer to the ^revious row, and even prints on it.

Re: Label printing issue
I print the Test File PDF from the page layout
The same with the drawing of the labels (not precise drawn by hand) just to see that there is indeed a vertical offset of the labels
that the printing on the left begins "in the void" and that the right column begins just on the line. It is therefore necessary to give margins so that all this is coherent. so i will then show my margins settings

Re: Label printing issue
Now I set margin and save my template :
we see that now on the left part everything is well written, we also see that there is always a vertical shift and that on the right column we print well on the right label
