Try getting it working on one slice first and then expand,

Why are you using Ham Radio Deluxe as your cat control ???

In SmartSDR Cat set up a new cat port and in WSJT add it as a Kenwood TS2000

that's the great thing with the flex you can have lots of different virtual com ports to cover all applications,

Set the UDP ports exactly as in page 134 in the manual and try that,

I'm also using a Flex and it works for me,

Thanks

Thanks Trevor, the HRD is set automatically by Slice Master (which I'm using to launch Wsjtx, Fldigi, etc, depending on the mode I'm using in each slice). Nonetheless, I will try without using slice master (using multiple instances of Wsjtx) and see if that works.

Are you using more than one instance of WSJTX and it's working for you?

I will come back to you with results.

Hi Santiago

No at the moment I am only using a single slice and a single instance of WSJT-X

I use Slice master but only for CW Skimmer and I have not used it with V2 of Log4om

Good luck getting your issue resolved,

I gave it a quick try using slicemaster and one instance of wsjt-x and it didn't work for me either,

I'll try it again later as I've had to go out for a while,

Trevor, I stopped Slice Master and ran one instance of Wsjtx and configure per manual and it work. BUT, when I open a second instance of Wsjtx it wont work on that instance, regardless of the udp ports I try and regardless of the radio config.

Actually I set up Omnirig radio 2 for the second slice of the Flex and it is working, radio is working and Log4Om reads it from Rig2 and it even logs from that instance, but it just wont transmit qso information to Log4Om window, as it does in instance 1 (Slice A, Rig1). I even opened just Rig2 and still no sending info to Log4OM.

For the moment, I am out of options to try, because there is no reason to have a Flex if not for taking advantage of multiple slices. Hope you have luck with your testing and we can work something out.

Just to confuse me even more, I'm using 2 versions of WSJT-X one is the latest 2.1.2 and the other is a modified version that can run as a bot,

The bot will populate the call entry window and log the QSO's, the original version will log the QSO's but not populate the Call entry window,

Both are set up exactly the same ????

Not sure what is wrong here,

Thanks

Trevor
Messages sent via UDP can only be collect by the first client that receives it, after that the message is gone

So port 9999 send 'Hello World' but of the two clients listening to that port only one of them gets the message - Once its read its dead

To make that work each instance of WSJT would need to use a different port number and Log4OM would need to be listening to both so two UDP inbound connections one to each of the WSJT port numbers

Terry good morning. I just did that and the second instance with the second udp is just not working. I’ve change numbers and is not working. Just the first instance works well, even with the second instance having a different udp port and Log4Om listening to that one.

I’m lost.

I have it set that way Terry

WSJT-X is on port 2334
Bot is on port 2333

Log4OM is set to listen to both,

I'm trying to find error's in the log file but it's not making any sense to me :?:
