Hi All,
If I have the main window and cluster window in windowed size (not full screen) and they overlap but cluster window is on top, when I click on a cluster spot the program thinks I am clicking on the main window underneath.
See picture for description on how to replicate.
Thank you

V2.2.4 Clicking on cluster window that has focus does not work.
Re: V2.2.4 Clicking on cluster window that has focus does not work.
Good find. I have not ran across that because I normally run the other cluster window on another monitor.
But I can duplicate it does it on mine as well.

Well ... I'll have to say it is working by design. With the separate Cluster window open and you click on a spot it sends it to the Main UI and begins the process. You have now just told V2 to load the spot into the Main UI and go from there. Yes the focus will shift.
Just as if you had clicked on a spot in the F8 cluster window, but the F8 window is part of the main window of V2.
Does that help a tad?

Makes sense
Cant see much benefit to running it over the top of main window anyway. Its more of second monitor tool.

It is NOT working as designed. Look at the picture I posted. If the cluster window is overlapping the main window and you click on the cluster spot to the left where it is overlapping the click goes to the main window which is underneath. It does NOT QSY the radio but brings the main window on top.
Standard Windows behavior should ALWAYS allow the click to go to the window on top. Set up the main window and cluster window as windowed size, not full screen, position them as shown in my picture and try to click a cluster spot on the left side. Look at the picture. I drew an arrow on where to click.

Dave it looks like the single click works (send callsign to QSO window) but the double click to send radio to frequency does not if the external cluster screen is over the main panel.
Agree?

Re: V2.2.4 Clicking on cluster window that has focus does not work.
Rich,
What about if that Cluster window is on a 2nd monitor?
If I keep the separate Cluster window OFF the Main UI I can effect the double-click just fine. I would assume that it would work OK if that Cluster window is on a 2nd monitor.
Again ... back to thinking about why the need to have a separate Cluster window open on top of the Main UI with the F8 Cluster?
I'm sure I'm missing something.

I do not understand the need but you will have to ask Dave. On the second (and third) monitor it works fine.
I think what is happening is the single click to send to QSO box changes focus (as designed) and the second click you would normally do to QSY radio cant be done as it falls on the newly focused window.

I think I can see the need/want for the separate Cluster window along with the Main UI for when the OM also wants to keep other Tabs visible ... such as F6 or F9, etc.. I would then arrange/size the Main UI in such a fashion to have the separate Cluster window open, but not overlapping the Main UI. That is then assuming one has only one monitor and limited pixel real estate to deal with.
I'll message another of our Alpha Team members in Norway who (as I recall) does keep many different screens open during use. Or at least he tests that way.
A learning experience for sure.

Re: V2.2.4 Clicking on cluster window that has focus does not work.
Yes maybe. I have been known to cascade windows to jump between them. And this would not work doing what Dave is talking about. The second click in this case certainly does fall on the wrong window.
