Manual frequency entry

Post by G4AON »

I hope this isn’t seen as nitpicking, but in ver 1 you could type in a frequency in KHz with a decimal point, eg 3558.5, hit enter and the correct frequency went in the log.

In ver 2.7.0.0, you have to separately enter KHz and Hz, you cannot enter a decimal point...

Have you tried using the 'Tab' key?

My right hand is generally occupied with the Morse key while I type with my left so the tab key falls perfectly to hand whereas the full stop (Decimal point) key is a stretch

Yes, except that in ver 1 you could click on the field, type 3558.5 and that was it... In ver 2 you can tab, but you have to enter 3558 <tab> 500, otherwise it enters 3558.005 KHz instead of 3558.5 KHz. A lot more faffing around in my opinion.
