Missing connection Log4OM >>> IC 7300

Good day to you,
At first I want to thank you for let us to use for free Log4OM.
I installed the log a few days ago and all ok !! but last two days I faced a problem ,the log miss the
connection (very often) with the IC 7300 ( connected with usb cable via omni-rig and the driver
provided by Icom).
As the solution(workaround !!) I have to restart the connection via the CAT interface that is very
hard to do that every few minutes.

Any advice or a solution to my problem please ?

P.S I had made an exception for the log program in Win 10 firewall

Are you using Hamlib or Omnirig?

Did you install the GENUINE ICOM USB drivers before connecting your radio to the pc? The default windows drivers won't work

Hi Terry,
Of course I installed the usb driver provided by IcomAmerica site (Silicon labs CP210x Usb to UART).

Ok then the only suggestions that I can think of are as follows:

1. Try a different cluster to see if the same things happen.

2. Make sure that the 7300 Menu/Set/connectors/CI-V/CI-V USB Port is set to 'Unlink from (Remote)

3. Try another USB cable

4. Ensure that all programs sharing Omnirig, including Omnirig, are set to 'Run as an administrator'

If none of the above help then set the Log4OM/Help/Log Level to 'Trace' - Run the program until the cluster disconnects a couple of times - Then email me the logfile (Log4OM/Help/Open log file)

PLEASE EMAIL IT TO ME AT G4POP (AT) ARRL.NET - DO NOT POST THE LOGFILE ON THE FORUM
