IC 7200, Fldigi and Log4OM v2

Post by N8NEU »

I have an IC 7200 along with Fldigi and Log4OM Version 2. Here is my set up.

I have both Fldigi and Log4OM set up with HamLib. I turn on my radio which is on COM7. I start Fldigi which auto starts Log4OM, which both are also on COM7.

After the programs are executed, Log4OM is on the same frequency as the radio. Fldigi however is on a different frequency. I must tune the radio before Fldigi aligns with the radio and Log4OM.

Flrig and RigCat do not interface what so ever with Log4OM v2.

I was told by an individual on the winfldig group that I need "rigctld". He also stated that "rigctld" worked with Log4OM version 1, but does not work with version 2.

Any truth to this and will it be fixed soon? I like Log4OM version 2, but may have to chose another logging program.

Thank you.

Did you read the Fldigi set up instructions in our user manual?

I start Fldigi which auto starts Log4OM, which both are also on COM7.
Fldigi and Log4OM cannot share the same physical COM Port.
In order to get the frequency synced from Log4OM to Fldigi read the section in the Log4OM Manual.
In order to key your radio from Fldigi you have to use some sort of Virtual Serial Port emulator viewtopic.php?f=33&t=4379&start=10#p24473
