Unusual problem with 2.7.0.0

Post by VK7XX »

not reporting this as a bug because I am not sure about it........

Ever since installing the subject version it has occasionally and unexpectedly either locked up or vanished off the screen. When it vanishes, it does so completely, with nothing left in task manager..

Has anyone else experienced this oddity ????

This has been reported by a few users and we are searching for the cause

Are you using any OF software and what is happening immediately before the lock up

thanks for the reply Terry. I am not sure what OF software is however, this sudden vanishing has occurred on several occasions, and mostly when I am doing nothing. The lockups on the other hand happen unknown to me until I go to use the log and its locked solid. I have been speaking to Norm, VK7AC about this and he is also experiencing the instant vanishing.

I hope you and the crew are able to pinpoint the cause

Cheers

gee I am glad that I am not the onlky one that does typos :)

and the only software running on my 'puta is Log4OM, WSJT-X, JTAlert and occasionally, a web browser.
Norm, VK7AC runs the same as me plus he also runs the VE7CC User cluster software.

regards

No Terry.. Log4Om is open, as are the other programs as well.... plenty of room on my 27" monitor.

Just checked with VK7AC, his programs are also open

downloaded and installed... so far so good. The only "problem" with it is that each time it starts it tells me that 2.7.0.0 is available for download which of course I will ignore.

John
You can turn that off in program config
