polling wsjtx_log.adi

Post by HB9BRJ »

I'm happily running WSJT-X without JTAlert. Polling wsjtx_log.adi is working fine. Takes a while after launching Log4OM until newly imported QSOs show up in the Recent QSO list.

What I noticed when migrating from 2.7 to 2.8: Contact references (WAC, DXCC, WAZ etc.) for imported FT4/FT8 QSOs are no longer filled as they were in 2.7. Guess I messed up with a setting, but cannot find which one.

Hi Markus,
You should not be using adif polling for direct connection please follow the instructions in the latest user guide.

I think you might find the references issue disappears when you interface with WSJT correctly.

Hi Terry,

Thanks for your reply. Changed WSJT-X logging to UDP following manual pages 165/166 and made an FT4 contact (highlighted in blue). Result stays the same: Contact references are missing since logging with 2.8.0.0, also the ITU/WAZ zones remain empty.

Try rescanning the references in the Awards status maintenance tab

Markus,
The alpha team have checked this out and its working fine for everyone using WSJT direct by UDP to Log4OM, all refs found..

So something is wrong with your setup, probably a setting either in Log4OM or WSJT, have you got the Import from JT message #12 checked OK?

Terry,
Yes, everything set according to the manual. However just found this in the Log4OM log file:

2020-07-03 07:52:39.4521 INFO: [AwardsDatabase] : Loading Awards list from database
2020-07-03 07:52:39.4521 ERROR: [AwardsDatabase][LoadAwards] : [EXCEPTION] Index was outside the bounds of the array. System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array.

This might be the root cause of my problem.

Update:
After "Settings > Update > Log4OM awards" I did another QSO in WSJT-X.
But contact references are still missing. Here's the log:

ITU/CQ zones not saved

Post by HB9BRJ »

Hi Terry,
Fresh download (portable), unzipped into empty directory, entered all essential config data.
When I log a QSO in WSJT-X, the station's info is shown, including country, ITU and CQ zones. When later editing this QSO, award refs are OK, but ITU and CQ zones are shown as 0. See example below.
