Where does Log4OM get operator name ?

Post by ON3MSP »

Info in the QSO window and the logbook window does not match.
I use JTDX , I do not use JTAlert nor GridTracker.
In Settings/Info providers is QRZ.com the primary source and Hamqth the failsafe source.
Sometimes I have the operator name in the QSO window but not in the logbook window.
Last time I had different names in the Operator field.
Idem ditto for grid.

Log4OM gets operator and grid from your primary lookup source. The failsafe source only works
if the primary one is not reachable. If you have qrz.com as primary source you need a payed
xml subscription or you don´t get a grid and other relevant informations if you do a lookup from
a logging software.

To the discrepancy of EA8AT. Looks like the qrz.com data is the freshest one. Have taked a look
to HamQTH, to qrzcw.com and to Hamcall and all have Tomas in the name fields but at Hamcall
i´ve seen that the last edit by EA8AT was 5 years ago.

So it´s possible that the older owner is SK or something like that and that Herman only using
qrz.com and has not editet at the other services.

We can´t do anything about this mismatches ... 😢😢
