that´s what I did after Tom from Win4Icom gave me this advice - it helped to get the CAT connection stable, so the only remaining issue is, that the band mode doesn´t switch to CW (only LSB or USB), when I double click on a cluster entry which is CW.

Re: CAT tape change from cluster list stops CAT Connection
What happens if you use Log4OM direct to 7300 without any VSP or Win4Icom suite?

Re: CAT Bandwechsel aus Cluster Liste beendet CAT Connection
when I work direct versus IC-7300 over OMNIRIG everything is correct, also the mode change to CW.
So it´s a matter of Win4ICOM? I had the same config before with HRD logbook and HRD cluster - there the bandswitch was correct also with CW mode.
So I will post it again in Tom´s Win4Icom log - I hope we will not end in a responsibility loop

It's hard to see what's happening without being hands on, all I can tell you is that my 7300 works fine in all respects with Omnirig and Log4om.
Did you try using 'send mode before frequency' in Log4om/program config/cat tab?
