I would like the band map display to "follow" the radio band.

Yes, a kind of "Band Lock" as we already have in "Cluster / Filters"

I agree, I would like the band map to have an option to stay centered on the radio frequency.

It does! See Page 68 of user guide!

Click the padlock to make bandmap follow band then turn radio VFO and the current frequency stays centred!

Blue frequency pointer stays fixed at centre of band map display and bandmap moves as tuning dial is turned? or as a spot is double clicked ?
