SFTP support

Post by PH4E »

At the moment it is only possible to send your logbook.html file automatic with FTP to your webiste. Many webhosters, also mine, don't support FTP anymore, only the more secure SFTP. Please make it possible to send the logbook.html also with SFTP when the time is there.

yes, SFTP is required. More and more web providers switch to the more secure protocol. even some force the user to use it. As suggested by a user on Facebook, just to use port 22 does not work.

Greetings.

I FULLY concur with original posters.
Sending sensitive data such as login and passwords in plain format
over Internet these days asks for devastating disasters!

I run my own amateur server and security, i./e. SSL/TLS encrtyption,
and SSH/SFTP are simply __THE MUST__ as it's VERY high priority matter!

Take care.
Best regards.

When I've used the web integration in the past, I would write the html files out locally and configure an external job to do the sftp/scp upload. Use key based authentication to automate the upload and run it in Windows Scheduler or the Auto Start function of Log4OM.
