The WAS award contains 51 countries instead of 50.
Why "DC" is included in the list ?

Re: WAS award
I would say that is a mistake as DC (District of Columbia) is Washington DC now just referred t as Washington! So it is duplicated, hence 51 states instead of 50
We need Lele t correct this

Re: WAS award
Please don't delete my home state of Washington! There should be 51 entities, 50 states plus the District of Columbia - otherwise known as Washington DC. Separate and apart from Washington State. One Washington is a state and the other is a district. Yes confusing.

Re: WAS award
Doug,
D.C. is Not used for WAS Award. There are 50 states.
Please refer to the ARRL WAS rules here:
http://www.w9dup.org/pdfs/wasrules.pdf
Washington D.C. is not considered for WAS. It is no different then Guam, American Samoa, etc., districts, not states.
Lele needs to correct this once and for all.

Re: WAS award
I agree with Chuck. To have the D.C. as seperate entry will force some iritations.
For WAS hunters it will be better to see only the real 50 states in the list ...

Re: WAS award
DC was removed from file starting from next release, in order to keep it related to the WAS award itself.
Nostalgic guys may add again the reference to :
DC;District of Columbia
in their WAS.csv file
