Mode & SUBMODE support in ADIF

Post by KI7AAY » 17 Aug 2017, 20:11

Using BPSK I can not select PSK as the mode and BPSK31 as a submode. When I push ADIF files to other loggers I have to manualy adjust these two fields to get QSO records to match. Could an enhancement be made to have MODE and SUBMODE support? &3 Sam KI7AAY

I have searched the latest ADIF specification and cannot find any mode or sub-mode for BPSK, the only reference to it is a contest entry as below, not an actual mode or sub-mode!

"UK-DX-BPSK63 - European PSK Club BPSK63 Contest"

You can check the ADIF mode and sub-mode enumeration specification yourself here:

http://www.adif.org/306/ADIF_306.htm#Mode_Enumeration

We only list fields (inc. Modes & Sub-modes) recognised by ADIF and recently updated to V 3.06 - With the exception of one mode omission of T10 which will be rectified shortly.

Terry,

Thanks for the reply

My mistake. I am referring to PSK (Mode) and PSK31 (submode)
Does that help. ?

I have to be missing something here because we already have that and have done since the change to mode and submode in ADIF a couple of years ago!

Here is an ADIF I just exported for an old PSK31 QSO which clearly shows mode and submode
