How to enter paper log data ?

Hi,
Sorry if the subject has been already discussed...
I enjoy Log4om since a couple of years.
Here my question...
I have a lot of paper logs and want to enter this data in Log4om.
What is the easiest way to do it?
Manually enter each qso? Enter qso's in a spreadsheet and import it?
Is there another method?
Any tip will be welcome...

Be it a spreadsheet or entering each into Log4om is a manual process either way.

Log4OM only imports files in .adif format which is the standard format for logging software.

If you choose the Spreadsheet route there is an excellent "Excel to ADIF Converter" available from here:- http://dl1hw.darc.de/adif_en.html

I used "Fast log entry" by DF3CB. FLE is a 32-bit Windows freeware application and runs under Windows© XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 10. FLE has been reported to work properly on Linux using Wine. The program allows you to enter QSO data quick and easy.

Hi Chris,

if you try to log manual to Log4OM don´t forget to use "Suspend CAT Reading" in the
Settings Tab and also enable "Manual Time" in the logging Window.

Some years ago I entered hundreds of QSOs into Log4OM from paper QSL cards. That's when I realized that the sequence of input fields when using the TAB key leaves much room for improvement. Unfortunately, nothing has changed since then. There are still several thousand QSL cards and a few paper logbooks here waiting to be entered. Probably I will give "Fast log entry" by DF3CB a try.

The UI is designed for live QSO input and likely does not conform to every different requirement for manual entry
