During the upcoming CW contest there will be several Z6 (Kosovo) calls you will see. Z6 (Kosovo) IS NOT a recognized ARRL DXCC entity and WILL count for Serbia only. I WILL NOT put these calls in the Country or SCL files.

Re: Z6 Calls
Hi Chuck, that´s o.k. I agree ..... Those calls count for nothing, only for the DARC "Worked all Europe" .... But not official calls yet. When ITU member or a UN-Nation o.k. but not yet. Those calls are now "pirate calls" ... Some guys means "work now worry later" but those prefixes counting only from the date when they will be official ... All older contacts nothing worth
73´s .. Juergen ... ALT-512 SDR (10W) , 50 m random wire at SG-211 autotuner, 2 x Xiegu G90 (20W HF TRX) one as portable Radio. Also TS-790E (40 W) for VHF/UHF with X-50 vertical and Duoband 4-Element LPDA.

Hi Chuck, hi Juergen,
I disagree. There are also other serious awards besides DXCC. One is the WAE-award as Juergen has mentioned already. For WAE Z6 Kosovo counts as seperate entity from Feb 17 2008. Unfortunately LOG4OM does not support WAE-award with it special entities (some more than the European DXCCs).
Try to work WAE-Top or WAE-Trophy and you see what I mean. At least for me it was much more difficult than 5-Band-DXCC ...
Also in the currently running CQ WW contest the WAE entities count as countries:
"Country: A multiplier of one (1) for each different country contacted on each band. The DXCC entity list, Worked All Europe (WAE) multiplier list plus IG9/IH9, and WAC boundaries are standards."
So these calls (Z6 and others) count for different events.

Hi Olaf,
We agree to disagree and that's OK.
I only do the ARRL entities and for Log4OM that's the bible. At least for now.
What the future brings? I have no idea.

Re: Z6 Calls
Hi Olaf,
maybe that those calls counting for different events but that´s illegal used callsign blocks. Those countries are not authorised by ITU to use this so they are not ITU members and they are not Member of the United Nations (the 2nd way you can get a official callsign block). We have some international reglementations and if organisations like IARU or DARC count those calls they do force work with pirate stations. Awards who count this are not really serious (that´s what i think).
It is what it is, illegal use of international regulated callsign series. If tey wan´t one they have to be an ITU and/or United Nations Member and not a "selfmade" country.
What´s the next steps ???? 13DX... or other illegal "Freeband" Divisions on 27 MHz are countable for Ham awards ?????

Hi Chuck, hi Juergen,
yes it is ok to disagree and we are lucky because it is only a hobby ...
I worked my WAE Top and Trophy before Z6 came on the list. So my old WAE awards should be legal and perhaps also serious in Juergens sense
Enjoy our great hobby!
