UK RSGB convention

Log4om will not be presenting at this convention because although I offered to do the presentation way back on 2nd March they only responded yesterday. However the RSGB only offered me a 30 minute slot at 5.00 PM on Saturday which is when it closes in preparation for the Gala dinner.

At that time everyone is rushing off to get changed and down to the bar for a drink before dinner and anyway thirty minutes is not enough time for the presentation, let alone the question and answer session afterwards, an hour is tight but thirty minutes is impossible.

Last year they did not offer us a spot until a few days before the event by which time I had already allocated the weekend to something else and the RSGB promised that this year would be different, seems they did not mean it!

So I won't be offering the log4om presentation to the RSGB again and will just concentrate on the club talks that I do each winter.

I am sorry if some of the UK hams are dissapointed but it's beyond my control
