Hi Colin,
It sounds like the path to the TQSL.EXE is incorrect, have you got it set OK in the options window - See page 12 of the user guide.

How are you uploading exactly?

Hi Terry
I thought I had set it up correct please see attached
As egards how I attempted to upload, I went into QSL mangr, then on the post office screen selected LOTW then search, selected all all contactcs and pressed upload. on the next screen press the upload screen again an et the error message mentioned.
I know it something I have not set up correctly.

Hi Terry srry I have not been in touch, I have got a little bit further on butnow get this message see attachment.
Do i have to toggle between TQSL an Log40M to create and upload the TQ8 file or is it all done from Log40M?
Could you give me a run down of the steps involved?

The question I have about this LOTW thing is: Why does Log4OM not use the TQSL password that I have setup in "Setting">External Logs>TQSL Private Password?

This only happens on my Vista OS system. My Win 7 system works as it should.

I have to always enter it each time I upload to LOTW from my Vista system. Why?

Hi Colin,
When you get the error shown in your screen shot it is because you have the 'Station Location' (Name) incorrect.

I have just updated the user manual with a step by step instruction for LOTW and you can download the revised version from my Dropbox here https://dl.dropbox.com/u/54976747/LOG4O ... %20Eng.pdf

Pages 92 and 93 refers

Yes,I had put "Home" on the Log40M screen and put my actual home address on the TQSL Location screen so the two did not match
I edited the TQSL info which actually ceated a econd locaton, deleted the first incorrect one and the QSO's were uploaded at my first atempt after that. Going to downlaod the new manual and print it off. There so much to learn..no doubt you will have to help me in he future. Thanks for your patience.
